Coaster Project

This project in MECH 200B was my HAAS certification exam. Over the course of a few weeks I watched training videos and learned in lab how to use the HAAS CNC machine and prepared for this exam where I had to identify machine anatomy, demonstrate understanding of how to use the machine by making the coaster, and some metrology related tests.

Takeaways and Advice

I would recommend studying the videos according to the due dates in Canvas and taking great notes during your HAAS CNC lab, as the answers of how to do everything are practically given to you. I would also recommend signing up for an earlier exam and going in a few days beforehand to study the machine and the other things you will be asked about. Ask the TAs questions and you should do pretty well. I did all these things and had a good time with my HAAS exam and learned a lot.
